The Shoreway is the first east-west freeway in Greater Cleveland, built in the 1930s as the largest Works Progress Administration project of the Great Depression. Named “Memorial Shoreway” after World War II in honor of Cleveland’s war veterans, the Shoreway with its majestic arches closely follows the shoreline of Lake Erie. Our floral, medium bodied-bodied and softly acidic Viognier, honors this iconic freeway that connects the East Side and the West Side of Cleveland.
